Tanzania Finagro Estate AA

This single-estate coffee comes from a coffee plantation in the Karatu district of Tanzania. Owned and managed by the Vohora family since 1971, Finagro Estate is a coffee paradise located along the northern rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site in East Africa.  Here, forest canopy shades the coffee trees over their 600 hectares of land, much of which is left as natural forest preserve.

Processing for this AA grade coffee involves a brief cherry fermentation immediately upon harvest followed by a longer fermentation post-depulping. It is then shade dried for 3 days before moving to full sun for another week where it finishes drying.
