Peru Dark Roast (CECANOR)

Our Peru variety comes from northern Peru and the slopes of the Andes in the Amazonas, Cajamarca, and  Lambayeque regions. These coffee producers, from more than 70 communities across the area, are supported by Central de Cafetaleros del Nororiente (CECANOR), a cooperative structure specifically organized to support coffee cultivated on small farms.  Using organic farm management practices, these farmers are dedicated to retaining their cultural connection with the land.  Working on just a few acres, they typically intercrop coffee with shade trees, bananas, corn and beans.
