Honduras Lempira

Traceable to 8 small farms near the border between Intibuca and Lempira, these producers follow a strict protocol during harvest.  This includes picking cherries at optimum ripeness, hand sorting, floating to remove damaged and undeveloped beans, depulping and fermenting before washing and drying the coffee on patios or raised beds.

The producers belong to an association called Aprocasol, working collectiveley to manage infrastructure needs and provide coffee processing expertise to improve the livelihood of its members.

This coffee represents a classic western Honduras profile.
