Kochere is a small area within the Yirgacheffe region of southern Ethiopia where the iron-rich acidic soil and high altitude are ideal for growing specialty coffee. Known for producing some of the liveliest coffees in the region, they are produced by small farm holders and processed in local washing stations after harvest.
