Colombia Huila - Women's Coffee

Nearly a decade ago, the Asociación Ecoterra SAS, established a program specifically for women producers throughout Colombia to assist in bring their coffee to the international market. By collaborating they are able to offer traceable, community blended coffee with vibrant regional profiles.  This particular lot was produced by 20 women working small farms near the municipalities of Pitalito, Oporapa, Saladoblanco, in the department of Huila.   

Cultivated in the upper elevations of the Andes Mountain Range in southwestern Colombia, Huila is known for producing well balanced coffees with both bright acidity and light but creamy body; intense floral aroma; and notes of sweet caramel and fruit.
