Bali Kintamani

Bali Kintamani

The island of Bali is in Central Indonesia, just west of Java. Coffee is grown on family owned farms in the Kintamani highlands, taking advantage of the volcanic soil from Mount Agung. Most production utilizes a Subak Abian, an ecologically sustainable irrigation system developed over 1,000 years ago by Hindu priests whose practice focuses on the harmonization between the environment, humans and God.  This particular coffee is processed by drying whole ripe cherries on raised beds.  Referred to as "natural process", this method aids in addressing water scarcity in the area.

Cup Profile: fig, nut, chocolate cherry liqueur, complex, creamy - medium roast
