Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Oromia

This Yirgacheffe is grown in the regional state of Oromia, Ethiopia's largest. It is managed by the Oromia Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union (OCFCU), an organization focused on centralizing resources and gaining export market for its members. Supporting more than 400,000 households, it is by far the largest unionization of farmers in the country. In addition to their involvement in various aspects of coffee farming from pre-harvest financing to cupping labs supporting quality control, OCFCU returns premiums from their exports directly to farmers. OCFCU has also been Fairtrade and Organic certified since 2002.
