Although the district of Gedeb is located within the region known as "Yirgacheffe," it has a terroir, history, and community all its own that merits unique designation. Processors there would argue their coffee profiles are not exactly Yirgacheffe, but something quite distinct.
This Kochere comes from one of two private washing stations in the area, Wuri, whose name in the Gedeo language translates to “high altitude”. Wuri is focused on achieving a diversity of processing and milling standards in order to iterate on local traditions and expand expectations of coffees from this area.
