Some of Guatemala's best coffee mills and specialty exporters are based in Antiqua, a city ripe with historic coffee infrastructure. Coffees from this area benefit from the active volcanoes in the region and are often brimming with sweetness countered by bright acidity.
There are, however, many nuances to coffee from the Antigua region such as this selection which is cultivated on small family-owned farms and transported to the Finca Medina mill for processing. Working directly with producers who have a shared commitment to their farms and the environment, Medina helps them gain access to technical support regarding best practices for farm management, RFA certification, and cupping feedback, all which assists with improving the quality of their coffee.
